The Weichai gas motors are developed and designed in the same way as the Weichai diesel motors, they use LNG, CNG, and/or methane as fuel. These gas motors have a completely new design of their piston, valve, valve ring seat and cooling system, which makes them suitable for the higher combustion temperatures and exhaust emissions of gas.

The reliable and mature Woodward electric gas-injection control makes the gas motors achieve parallel power levels, reliability and performance as their diesel motors counterparts.
